Advisory & Training

The organic farming system needs expertise, competent farmers and entrepreneurial thinking. Therefore, a close dialogue between research and practice is important. We advise farmers with customised solutions for their farms and offer further training on various topics that are relevant for practitioners.

FiBL advisors work closely with researchers, generating practical knowledge and using various methods to disseminate it on organic farms. The Advisory & Training group focuses on providing advice on biodiversity, feeding and feedstuffs, farm development, stable construction, ornamental plants and potted herbs. The advisory team is complemented by specialists from the research departments.

FiBL advisors also support agricultural schools in the training of apprentices, future advisors and specialists in various areas of organic agriculture.
