Guidelines on breeding sows for piglet producers

Abstract

The guide provides an overview of the different forms of replacing pigs on organic pig farms. It offers the farmers knowledge and tools they need to successfully carry out breeding piglets themselves on the farm.

This guide is produced in cooperation with the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture (LfL), since it has developed a motherliness index in a long-term project which is to be integrated into the guide.
