FiBL Frick's buildings also include a training apiary, which is run by the Fricktal Beekeepers' Association. The apiary is used for the education and training of beekeepers and offers an insight into organic beekeeping: natural honeycomb construction, biological control of the Varroa mite and the wax moth, and a closed wax cycle. The apiary houses about 20 colonies of bees kept according to principles of organic beekeeping.
