Conceptualisation and implementation of a model farm within an Eco-village in the Caucasus

Abstract

The Eco-village represents «en miniature» the unique selling points as a whole and reflects the values of the region. The Eco-village shall be the gate to a National Park and represent the uniqueness and purity of the area and involve the local people. With its holistic approach, the development has the potential to become the world-wide showcase for eco-tourism. The Eco-village including:

  • A hotel, including club house, hunting club, restaurant, spa, pool,
  • A national competence centre with trainings and workshops,
  • An eco-farm, producing ecological food for guests of the hotel and the national market, as well as serving as a model farming and a national competence centre that promotes sustainable agricultural production practices,
  • A national park.
