The objective of the study is to determine the share of food consumed in the city of Freiburg (Germany) that stems from the Freiburg region (Regierungsbezirk Freiburg). This results in an overview of the importance of local/regional food provisioning for Freiburg, differentiated by product groups, as well as in an overview of the structures and sales channels that enable local farmers and processors to sell their produce in the city.
