FiBL Switzerland is regularly involved in national and international projects on organic food processing. Here is a selection of current and completed projects:

  • OrganicTargets4EU (running from 2022 to 2026)
    Transformation scenarios for the further expansion of organic farming and organic aquaculture with regard to the EU's farm-to-fork targets
  • LUPINNO SUISSE (duration 2021 to 2025)
    Breeding white lupin for resistance and quality for innovative Swiss food from sustainable, regional production.
  • PE(K)O Sustain (duration 2021 to 2024)
    Evaluation of a new technology (in terms of sustainability, food law, bio-suitability) for the physical modification of oils as a sustainable alternative to tropical fats for the bakery and confectionery industry.
  • Organic dried prunes (term 2021 to 2024)
    Development of soft plums that fulfill the Bio Suisse guidelines.
