Below are some of the tools and methods that we use in the realisation of projects:
We manage national and international projects in the field of organic food processing.
We advise companies on the biosuitability of new products. Product development played an important role in the "Lupinno Suisse" and "Softplum" projects. Innovative approaches were used in the market launch of organic soft plums and the development of organic lupin products in order to create marketable, healthy and sustainable foods.
The FiBL input lists specify which products (fertilisers, pesticides, cleaning agents, animal feed, etc.) may be used in organic farming. For the Swiss lists, we test cleaning agents and disinfectants as well as auxiliary materials for winemaking.
We conduct individual surveys, for example market analyses or studies with consumers. We use software that supports various question types and offers extensive customisation and analysis options.
Guided interviews are structured interviews in which a prepared catalogue of questions (guide) is used to collect consistent and comparable data. This method enables us to gain deeper insights into specific topics and at the same time offers flexibility for in-depth follow-up questions.
We are involved in various national and international networks. Together with the Strickhof Competence Centre, for example, we have set up the "Protein Power Network". This promotes knowledge and cooperation for the supply of plant proteins (pulses) from Swiss cultivation to the Swiss population.
