Legumes Translated (Translating knowledge for legume-based farming for feed and food systems) supports innovation in grain legume-supported cropping systems and value-chains by providing access to knowledge. The consortium comprises 18 partner organizations in 9 countries. Their work will be based on 15 actor groups of research-based partners and practice-oriented partners who will exchange and synthesize knowledge relevant to the production and use of legumes, especially soybean, faba bean and pea. The synthesized knowledge will be validated in terms of its relevance to economic and environmental goals. This work will be done in seven networks of actor groups focused on different types of cropping systems and value chains. The consortium will provide an internet-based knowledge platform for supporting legume cropping and use, supporting the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP Agri). Policy-makers are an important part of these value-chains, and the consortium will contribute to the knowledge of the policy community.
