Solutions for quality cereal production in low fertilty situations

Original titleSolutions pour une production de céréales de qualité en situations peu fertiles
Abstract

The project explores three ways to allow production of quality bread grain in low fertility situations. The first part assesses to what extent conservation agriculture is a solution; it specifies the conditions under which quality objectives are actually too difficult to achieve with the current wheat varieties. The second section analyzes the solutions that different kinds of bread grains (einkorn wheat, emmer wheat, spelt, wheat composite) can provide in less fertile conditions. The final part focuses on evaluating existing pioneer productions based on relict crops and bringing together farmers and bakers.
