(Frankfurt / Main, June 2nd, 2017) The organic input list facilitates the work of organic farmers, consultants and control authorities, for all listed trade products are verified by experts of the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) in terms of their suitability and use in organic farming. Thus, the list clarifies which inputs may be used in organic farming in Germany.
Manufacturers and distributors of input products for organic agriculture can now register their products on www.betriebsmittelliste.de/en to let FiBL Projekte GmbH verify them. The deadline for the printed version of the list is July 30th, 2017.
The registered products will also be examined – without additional costs for the applicants – in terms of their conformity to the regulations of organic associations, such as Demeter, Demeter International, ECOVIN, Gäa and Naturland. Online search results will display the conformity.
Since 2016, the English version of the website www.betriebsmittelliste.de/en has been available. New: Products can be registered exclusively for the EU input list (usability in accordance to the EU regulations on organic farming) or for the input list of Demeter International. Application forms in English are available as well. Please find further information on www.betriebsmittelliste.de/en.
Products from a wide range of areas can be registered, such as fertilisation, plant protection, animal feed, cleaning agents and disinfectants, products for udder care and hygiene, products for the control of stable flies and ectoparasites, products for apiculture and products for the manufacturing of organic wine.
