The FiBL Africa Strategy 2021-2025 is available now, serving as a guide for FiBL's work in Africa until 2025.

The Africa Strategy 2021-2025, which has recently been published, positions the Research Institute of Oranic Agriculture FiBL as a bridge builder between research and development and is considered a guideline for work in and with Africa. FiBL is a relatively small player in research and development in Africa. However, close collaboration with local partners enables us to jointly build a food system that meets the needs of the planet, farmers and consumers. The strategy defines the work priorities for the coming years as follows:

  • promoting human health,
  • contributing to sustainable, ecological organic and resilient farming and production systems,
  • improving smallholder access to markets and value chains and policy and sector development.

The strategy provides information on what outcomes are targeted and how activities will be designed within the work priorities. It was developed by a core team, commented on and improved in a participatory process within FiBL and by relevant partners, and finally adopted by the FiBL Switzerland Executive Board in December 2021.

The Africa Strategy is available for download on Organic Eprints.
