Over 400 participants attended the first conference of the Hungarian Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (ÖMKi) on February 2, 2012. The conference theme was the “State of organic agriculture in Hungary - Trends and breakout points” and generated exceptional interest. The event was hosted by Szent István University in Gödöllo.

The organizers plan to publish the professional opinions presented in the conference sessions to summarize the sector’s current state and future opportunities.
ÖMKI was established in June 2011 with support of FiBL.
