Food processing can generate a lot of waste. Waste4Soil works on ways to transform this waste into soil improvers. (Logo: Waste4Soil)

The ability to appropriately recycle food processing waste and the promotion of healthy soils are two critical elements of sustainable food systems. Scientists in the Waste4Soil project, in which FiBL Switzerland is a partner, are aiming to connect these two concepts by turning food processing waste into soil inputs. A survey asks for input via a Europe-wide "citizens' consultation", open until 23 June.

The project Waste4Soil launched a Europe-wide "citizens' consultation" survey where all stakeholders of the food chain can give their opinion to ensure that the solutions developed meet both their challenges and expectations.

This survey is available in English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Slovenian, and Spanish, and is open until 23 June (see links below) – please take it and pass it along to your networks.
