Pilot project Bionet special crops

Original titlePilotprojekt Bionet Sonderkulturen
Abstract

In the "Pilot Project Bionet Special Crops" the sub-project "Bionet Vegetables" was separated from the previous "Bionet Arable Farming" project and expanded to include wine and fruit crops. In addition to evaluating past activities in organic vegetable farming and assessing the need for networking in fruit production and viticulture, ongoing activities will continue. In close collaboration between farm managers, advisors, and scientists, current international research results, farmers' experiential knowledge, and recent developments in crop cultivation will be examined for their practical applicability under Austrian conditions, and current issues from practice will be addressed through educational initiatives. Educational and networking events will be organized, information materials will be prepared, and practical trials will be conducted.
