Moldova is a country with great potential for organic agriculture. Especially the proximity to the fast-growing European organic market offers Moldova interesting business opportunities in regard to exports. As a means to create awareness and build capacities for organic agriculture among farmers and the private sector, FiBL develops a dossier entitled ‘Organic Farming: Principles and Best Practices’. This practice-oriented document will serve as the most important reference document on organic farming in the country, available in Romanian and Russian, laying the base for complementary and more crop- or animal-focused technical manuals and leaflets to be produced later on.
