Overseas Agriculture Sector Intern Scholarship (OASIS) Program

Original titleOverseas Agriculture Sector Intern Scholarship (OASIS) Program
Abstract

Korea Agency of Education, Promotion & Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries (EPIS) was established in 2012, based on the national necessity of a consolidated information and knowledge agency to provide greater supports in government administration of agro-fishery and achieve qualitative and value-wise improvements in agricultural policies.

Within the different activities of EPIS-Korea there is a funding program to support knowledge buildup of young professionals in the agricultural sector. Within these training programmes FiBL-CH offers internship positions for Korean agricultural students in different research groups (soil, plant, animal science, socio-economics).

Further activities within the cooperation may include overseas workshops for rural youth, professional farmers, farm managers, agricultural advisers and other stakeholders or collaboration for promoting agricultural ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and Smart Farming technologies.
